Specific to Silkdecade: we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.

Subject to your location, you may request access to your data, its correction or deletion, a portable copy, or restriction of its use, and you may opt out of sale or sharing for advertising. This is not a children’s site. It is not directed to under-13s (or under-16s where that threshold applies), no data is knowingly collected from them, and any that arrives is deleted once identified.

Subscribing and Unsubscribing

Nobody joins the list without confirming from their own inbox. Once on it, you can leave via the unsubscribe link in any email, and we include our postal address in every send as the law requires. The list is not sold or shared.

Grounds for Use

Purposes: operating silkdecade.com; measuring which of our guides, comparisons and reference pages draw readers; sending the newsletter to subscribers; and supporting advertising where it is displayed.

How Long We Keep It

Nothing is kept longer than it is needed for. Analytics data ages out on the provider’s schedule, subscriber addresses last until you unsubscribe, comments stay until removed. Access is limited, connections are encrypted in transit, and while no site can promise perfect security, we take reasonable and proportionate measures.
